The Octopus Game
The octopus game was a fun project I did while I was studying in europe. It was my first time doing anything with actionscript, and I am pretty happy with the finished product. Like everything else, it could use some work still, but it is playable (maybe even fun) the way it is. You can play the octopus game, or keep reading to learn more about it.
About the Game
The object of the octopus game is simple. You are a fish, trapped in a small tank with a big octopus. Just like in real life, the tank randomly releases bubbles of oxygen. Your job is to avoid the octopus while not running out of oxygen. If you run out, you won’t be able to swim and the octopus will surely get you.
But, there is more. Just like in real life, there is sea “weed” floating everywhere. But, you don’t want to eat this sea weed because, just like in real life, it will make you slow, and your task will become harder (sea drugs are bad). Instead, you want to get the coffee which will let you swim a lot faster, and hopefully you can outrun the octopus.
You use the arrow keys to move. Thats about all there is too it. Enjoy!
